Current Environmental provided biological services in support of permitting, design, and Environmental Monitoring for flood protection works on the Cowichan River to protect the Joint Utilities Board Sewage Lagoon Dike system in Duncan, BC.

This is a multi-year project that has involved large-scale counter-flood infrastructure construction (LWD revetments, groundsill installation, dike upgrades), salvage of over 10,000 fish, and the temporary diversion of the Cowichan River to mitigate construction-related erosion into fish bearing waters.

This project was commissioned by the District of North Cowichan.
