Phase 1 ESA’s identify any Areas of Potential Environmental Concern (APECs) associated with historical and contemporary land uses of the subject property and surrounding areas. The scope of Phase I ESAs include a historical review, site visit, and interviews with individuals with historical knowledge of the site to identify existing contaminant indicators.

Our Phase 1 ESA’s are written in accordance with Canadian Mortgage Housing Corporation (CMHC) Interpretation Guidelines that incorporate the requirements from the CMHC Policy for Managing Environmental Risks (1993) and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Information Product Z768-94 (1994).
