Mikala Wheeler

Mikala is an experienced Biological Technician that has been part of the Current team since 2022. Mikala earned her B.Sc. Honours in Biology in 2017 with a specialization in aquatic and marine biology. She quickly gravitated to environmental consulting, working in natural resource management industries including mining, forestry and fisheries, before landing at Current.

Mikala has a wide range of competencies, and applies her skillset to an array of projects, including environmental monitoring, terrestrial and aquatic assessments, and technical reporting. Mikala's positive attitude, strong work ethic, and knowledge of BC environments make her a valued member of the Current team. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, live music and adventurous outdoor pursuits of all kinds.
