Jim Palmer

Master MacGyver, Jack of all Trades

May 14, 1951 - Dec 5, 2022

Jim was a deeply valued member of the Current team. A dedicated conservationist, he first got to know Current through his work with the Morrison Creek Streamkeepers, spearheading research and restoration work in the Morrison Creek watershed. After retiring from his day job, he went on to join Current as a field technician. Jim had a remarkable ability to MacGyver a device to solve almost any problem you might encounter, and to fix just about any piece of gear that was having issues. Jim's curiosity and love of learning meant that he had a wide breadth of knowledge in many fields, and his diverse knowledge and skillset was a huge asset to the team. His dedication to conserving and restoring the natural world served as an inspiration to those who knew him, and he served as a mentor to many on the Current team. He is sorely missed.
