Brooklyn Creek Restoration

Fish Habitat Assessment and Restoration

We have been working in partnership with the Brooklyn Creek Watershed Stewards, private landowners, and the Town of Comox over many years to restore fish habitat in Brooklyn Creek. Most recently, we have been restoring sections of Brooklyn that flow through Birkdale Farm. Work included construction of rock riffles and installation of spawning gravel, removal of invasives, and replanting native riparian species. The work was made possible through funding provided by the Pacific Salmon Foundation, and through the hard work of many volunteers.
