ʔapsčiik t’ašii Pathway Construction

Design Support & Environmental Monitoring

We provided design support and environmental monitoring services as a sub-consultant to Parsons, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), and Parks Canada for the construction of the ʔapsčiik t’ašii (Upscheek Tashee) Trail Project in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. This multi-purpose trail runs through approximately 25 km of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, connecting to multi-use pathways in Tofino (to the north) and Ucluelet (to the south). An additional branch of the trail accesses Wick Beach to the west.

Key services provided included aquatic crossing assessments, numerous ecological assessments, design planning and support, habitat restoration planning and implementation, fish and amphibian salvage, First Nations consultation, tender document creation support/review, and daily onsite environmental monitoring during construction activities.
