ʔapsčiik t’ašii (Upscheek Tashee) Trail Design Support and Environmental Monitoring, 2016 to Present (sub to Parsons, Parks Canada and PWGSC)

Current Environmental Ltd. (CEL) has been providing design support and environmental monitoring services as a sub-consultant to Parsons, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), and Parks Canada for the ongoing ʔapsčiik t’ašii (Upscheek Tashee) Trail Project in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve over the past year and a half. This multi-purpose trail, currently under construction, runs through approximately 25 km of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, connecting to multi-use pathways in Tofino (to the north) and Ucluelet (to the south). An additional branch of the trail will access Wick Beach to the west.
Key services provided by Current Environmental included aquatic crossing assessments, numerous ecological assessments, design planning and support, habitat restoration planning and implementation, First Nations consultation, tender document creation support/review, and daily onsite Environmental Monitoring during construction activities.
